Seniors 'Any haste Paper?n were the words that echoed through the village of Strawn as senlors ran fran door to door three t1mes dur1ng the school year trylng to make money for a tr1p The Scn1OrS got off to a fly1ng start On September 4, the class vos organ1zed For the fxrst tume, Janet Kuntz took off1ce as pres pres1dent and Charles Sh1ve took h1s f1FSt try as secretary, even thourh he never wrote a letter whzle in Uff1C6' Did you hear that 'Aunt Sus1e Shot the Worksuon December 49 Those sen1ors were sure worried and nervous and by the tlme the play was oven the audlence was scared to turn around for fear sameone would poke a gun in their back The Christmas Hop and hanecuming dance was a great success on that n1ght of December 19 The Downbeats orchestra furnished music from 9 till 12 and everyone was 1n the Chrzstmas sp1rit CBy the way, that lost overcoat was found a few days after the dance J The new year began with anawful task for those S6n1OPS They'worked night and day on those famous Amer1ean Hlstory term papers San ester exams also looked the senlors in the face,and what s1l1y an swers the teachers at SHS recemvedl In the spring the class broke down and spent ahttle of then- money to give the other high sehool classes and thelr guests a party Bacoalaurette serv1ces were held in honor of the eight seniors on May 23 On May 26 the famous Pemp and C1PCUMStanCe began to play and the senxors marched fran the halls of SHS 1Dt0 the world fllled with hardships and joy Early on Frlday the Senlors left on the trlp to whlch they had been looklng forward to for a long t1me. Th1S was the cllmax of twelve years of hard Q71 work.
