Eileen Weller is the fifth and sixth grade teacher for her second year. Mrs. Weller was born on a farm east of Strawn and attended both grade and high school here. She received her higher education at Illinois State Nor- mal University. In her spare time she likes to swim and to play tennis. Helen Culkin is teaching the third and fourth grades for the fourth year. She was born in Chatsworth and at- tended school there. Mrs. Culkin likes to write let- ters and swim in her spare time. In addition to attend- lng Illinois State Normal University, she also attended the National College of Education in Evanston and the University of Wisconsin Odette Singer is teaching the first and second grades for her sixth year She taught the fifth and sixth grades for eleven years before that Mrs Slnger was born 1n Chicago and attended high school in Strawn, For- rest, and Pontiac She received her later educatioxu from Illlnois State Normal University and from the Uni versity of Missouri Board of Education Roy O Stein, President Wllllam A Somers, Secretary Clifford Conger Fred Stein Joe V Kuntz Everett Elliott Del Marlin Harry Pratt Of these, several have served the school for a numberof years Roy Stein has been a member for nine years 1952 to 1958 and from 1940 to date Joe V Kuntz has been a Board member for eight consecutive years, W A Somers, member and secretary for seven years, Clifford Conger, for six years and Fred Stein for five Everett Elliott served onl two ears, finishln out the Y Y 6 unexpired term of a former member, while Harry Pratt has had but one year'sexper xff lence All have taken an active interest ff!! in the affairs of the school and have given their time and efforts freely to 3 9' 1 advance its interests Ur af I , .
