fContinued from Page-347 After two years of wrestling he seemed to be weakening and did not offer much resistance. Plays, basketball, baseball, band and glee club claimed much of their precious and valuable time. It slipped by so quickly that before they were hardly prepared for it, they were again at the end of the year and confronted by, the now not so terrifying monster, Final Exams. On August 28, 1950, the day they will never forget, eight happy boys and girls, Joe Radcliff, Bud Odneal, Earl Neese, Elzay Caywood, Lillie Ann Bilbro, Pat Garvin, Jo Ann Kirkpatrick and Hellen Nelson again met in the halls of F.H.S, Now they were full of confidence! Of course they were not conceited, but after three years of successfully coping with their nemesis, Study, they felt they were sure to defeat him, in their last year in high school. They again launched an all out campaign on the old enemy and with the full co-operation of their always patient teachers they were able to keep him at bay. As spring grew near there was some restlessness among the seniors, who were anxious to get out and spread their wings in a new and different way of life. The history of the individuals of the Class of '51 is soon to flow into the great stream of human progress. While we record events and experiences in our lives we must record in our midst the presence of a feeling of gratitude for those who fought in the struggle for justice and truth, for in these virtues, there is peace and freedom. At this hour we eight Seniors wish most to express the gratitude we feel for what you, our parents, our friends, and our teachers have done for us.

fContinued from Page 351 It will be noticed that although we have left bequests to the Junior Class, soon to be Seniors, to the Sophomores, soon to become Juniors and to those who will, in the fall, become Freshmen, we have made no mention of the present Freshmen . class which will be known as the Sophomore Class in a few months. We have left them nothing, because by that time their self-esteem and evaluation will have attained such heights that nothing in our possession could be regarded by them as worthy of their distinction. Earl wills his ability to grow a beard to Keith Lane. Lillie wills her short-curly hair to Marietta. Bud wills his ability to keep his nose out of other people's business to Ronald Holder. Io Ann wills her giggle to anyone who wants it. Bookworm Joe wills his ability to study to Kathyrn Boates. Patsy wills her ability to flirt with boys from other towns tothe one that really needs it, Karen Day. Elzay wills his ability to get along with the girls to Wayne Mayo. Hellen wills her ability to get along with Mrs. Topinka to anyone who needs it. Bud wills his guns and knives to anyone who wants them.
