l I 1 Bear player Harry Gunner tried to get by Mr. Richard Austin. Fightin' Falcon Faculty left the bench determined to win. Big Bears Edged Fighting Faculty in Packed Gymnasium After long weeks of preparation, Forest View's faculty met the Chicago Bears in a Lettermen-sponsored basketball game. On Feb- ruary 10, nearly twelve hundred students and parents filled the gymnasium for the exciting game. Throughout the event, the score remained very close until, in the last second, Chicago Bear Doug Buffone scored the winning basket to give the Bears an 86-84 victory. During half time, the crowd enjoyed the antics of ten boy cheerleaders. The Lettermen sponsored the game to pro- mote athletic interest. All proceeds went toward the purchase of athletic equipment. The forward line anxiously awaited the outcome of a serve. GRA Gave Girls and Dads a Night of Sporting Fun On February 15, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., twenty-one girls and their dads attended GRA's fifth-annual Dad-Daughter Volleyball Night. The couples formed seven teams and played seven ten-minute volleyball games. Later, they rested from the strenuous com- petition and ate homemade cookies and brownies After refreshments, the first, second, and last- place teams received ribbons. A team of junior girls and their fathers took first place in the evening's competition. Mr. John Griggs sternly concentrated on his serve.
