and clubs combined efforts to deck our halls. rated halls reflected Falcon Christmas spirit. Rick Latta relaxed after doing his share in the Canned Food Drive Week activities. Canned Food Drive and Decorations Marked the Holiday Season Sponsored by the Representative Assembly, the annual Canned Food Drive enabled Falcons to express their Christmas spirit while aiding the less fortunate. Collection of the food began December 14 and continued until the twenty- first. Organized on a class-competition basis, the sophomores won the drive with a total of 2,978 pounds. General Chairman Dan McFall added a fifth bin for items collected by teachers and students at Dempster Junior High School. Altogether, the Falcons accumulated 9,554 pounds of food, which they sent to Northwest Op- portunity Center for distribution in Cook County. Christmas Week 59

E3 g L 'Xu' K s eagerly awaited the announcement of the queen. Agger, Sandy Schwedler, Keith Semar. by her escort Frank May, Queen Laurie Alm reigned over Christmas Ball. Couples Shared Holiday Spirit at i'Fantasy in Frosti' A Fantasy in Frost,', the 1970 Christmas Ball, awaited all Falcons in the boys' gym on Tuesday evening, December 22, 1970. Lacy snowflakes and shimmering icicles helped to set the yuletide spirit. A heart-shaped lake in the center of the gym accented the deco- rations. At ten o'cl0ck, Don Jastrebski an- nounced the Christmas Ball queen, Laurie Alm, and her four attendants, Senior Beth Mill, Jun- ior Deb Lata, Sophomore Jan Voiss, and Fresh- man Sandy Schwedler. Throughout the evening, couples listened to music played by the Con- solidated Freight.
