Rain Failed to Soak Falcon Spirit During Festival Week Halls lined with streamers of black and gold announced the arrival of Forest View's 1970 Fall Festival. Many different events oc- curred during the week-long celebration. Fal- cons bought Forest View pennants, buttons, mums, and balloons. They cheered for their presidents in Tuesday's class-competition pogo- stick contest. On Wednesday students honored the coaches and athletes and, after the pres- entation assembly, voted for the queen candidate of their choice. Thursday became Heart Day, during which any girl who talked to a boy sur- rendered her paper heart. Despite rainy weath- er, Falcon fans showed their enthusiasm by at- tending a spirit rally in the evening. On the following day, students wore school colors and danced to the music of Osley Farm at an eve- ning mixer. During Friday's coronation assem- bly, Ron Norberg crowned Kathy Dolan Queen of Fall Festival Week. She and her court pre- sided over the Homecoming Football Game against the Conant Cougars. The Lettermen's dance, Tout le Monde est Beauj' concluded Queen Kathy's reign over an eventful week. Lettermen displayed their trophies at the 1970 Fall Festival Dance.
