Shortly after school reopened, the varsity squad, aided by Mrs. Barbara Farroh, chose six qualified freshman girls to form the third cheerleading squad. The cheerleaders, responsible for planning the pep sessions, supported their respective teams at all football and basketball games. They participated in Fall Festival activities by conducting the mum sales and organizing the memorable Coronation assembly. During the year, the girls, who sold ribbons and made spirit posters and banners, sparked the enthu- siasm of the entire school. During a basketball game, cheerleaders create enthusiasm in the home bleachers.
