With an 8-1 record and second place in the Mid-Suburban League Con- ference, the 1970 squad equalled the results of the previous year. The first and second singles players, Don Martin and Scott Vaughn, qualified for the state meet. At the close of the season, the varsity net- men voted senior teammate Don Martin as the most valuable player. The Frosh-Soph Tennis Team finished in third place in the Mid-Suburban League Con- ference. Coach Warren Myers worked with a squad of ten boys who played in nine Conference meets. The competition enabled the younger Falcon netmen to gain experience and perfect technical skills, two factors necessary for suc- cess in future seasons. Dick Martin perfected his serve. cans l .
