Four Track Team Members Qualified for State Endless hours of practice coupled with a desire to succeed characterized the 1970 Varsity Track Team. Several of its mem- bers showed great ability in their par- ticular areas of the sport and diligently strove to attain new goals. Torn Dendor broke the school record in the shot put, and Keith Phillips set a new record for the high jump. In addition, four qualifiers, com- prising the 880-yard relay team, attended the State Track Meet in Champaign, Illinois, and placed sixth. Members of the .Frosh-Soph Track Team set new records on their level, also. V I -- ' 1.
