Underclassmen Supplemented Varsity Team, Sophomores Placed Second Mark Bowe set an all-time record for twenty-two predicaments in one season and tied the record for the most near falls with eleven. Junior Rob Caltagirone tied the second highest number of takedowns record with twenty-seven. This year's co-captains, Mark Bowe and Randy Traub, shared the Most Valuable Player award based on their attainment of six falls each. Hard work and strict diet were the key words for Forest View's freshmen, sophomore, and junior varsity wrestlers. Despite the large number of junior varsity wrestlers promoted to the varsity level, the junior varsity squad, under the direction of Mr. John Ellis, finished the sea- son with an overall record of seven wins and four losses. With an overall 10-1 record, the sopho- more grapplers, guided by Coach Darryl Phil- lips, boasted a second-place finish in the Con- ference. Sophomore Pete Ceraulo was unde- feated in action with a 14-0 record and a first place in the Maine East Tournament. Coach John Wollenburg's freshmen wres- tlers, faced with stiff competition, compiled a season record of 1-10. All of the levels gained the experience and the skills that they will need for the 1971-1972 season.
