WHAT WILL I DO WITH MY LIFE? What do I want to do with my life? Should I get a job. go to college, vo-tech. or join the army? Do I have enough credits to graduate? Should I take the ACT? the SAT? Though the life of a senior holds pressures, decisions, and mixed emotions about the future, ask any senior what his or her fondest memories are and you will receive the same response — “My senior year was the most exciting. As the year began, we seemed to take life easy and carefree. All too sudden the year has flown by and the future is closer than some seniors want to imagine. Not only is the so- called “real world just around the corner, but seniors began to realize that the security of life as a high school student was coming to an end. Taking a melancholy look back on the year, many seniors remember their last first day of school, last homecoming and Snow week. Prom, senior week, not to mention the sports events, dances, parties, and other special times spent with friends. Through the years our friends and teachers were important facets in our lives. They have shared our memories, guided our achievements, and were always there through the good and bad times to lend a helping hand. As spring approached, we looked forward to commencement and graduation parties. But the realization that it is hard to say good-bye began to hit home. For some, saying good-bye seemed like too much of a concluding statement. As a class, we looked forward in other moments to graduating and being remembered as fulfilling our hopes and dreams, as well as a feeling that we didn't really say good-bye — just “see you again when we can sit down and share friendships, remember all we learned, talk about the teachers we enjoyed, and laugh about the hard times, and smile about the memories, tears and good times we hoped would never be forgotten. 16 Dan Johnson, Amy Bolier, and Brian Lenk help on the “assembly line getting Ranger signs ready for homecoming sales.
