We test the rules Changing grades, beginning a new school year, another new assistant principal, and i.d. cards confronted us as '88-'89 began. Subtler changes involved new rules. Seniors learned that only students with enough credits would be participating in commencement. Attendance was taken every hour. In School Restriction (ISR) returned. Parking privileges were limited to seniors. Classroom tardies were monitored, letters sent home, and detentions earned. Doors closed at the eight o'clock bell and passes were needed. But soon everyone was used to the changes and settled into the routine. and learn the ropes 6

School is not a downer for everyone. In ten year's reunion talk will fondly center around the great things that happened in high school. There are some things that happen in our lives which could have only happened because we chose to attend school. For kids who choose to attend, school sponsored events were the source of some pretty terrific memories. 1. Band trips make for some pretty great sight seeing, such as Canada and the Rockies. 2. School Spirit Is a good reason to build and sponsor a float for the homecoming parade with friends 3 Katie Overbo smiles happily as she computes the days left before commencement and the senior all-night party 4 Joe DuFresne and Bill Headley get photographed in Calgary while out sight-seeing for themselves. 5
