runing a winning season ‘Tea for Two and Two for Tea,” that seemed to be the tune going through everyone’s head after the Marching Band performed the song at the Homecoming game. This year, the marching band, under the direction of Richard Hahn, has increased their number from 70 to 170. Besides performing the popular ‘‘Tea for Two” other attractions were forming a train, the 51 Hot Dog and the Forest Lake Doughnuts. Another big attraction was our football team. Besides winning our Homecoming game with a score of 23-21, the Rangers ended Columbia Heights’ 15 game winning streak with a victory score of 28-7. Opening 7

The 1980 Homecoming gave students a chance to adhere to popular traditions and experience fresh alternatives. The annual alumni polka was a jamming success as students packed the cafeteria for three hours. A bonfire the previous night fired up students with the burning of a paper ram and a twisting snake dance. Turning traditions into fresh outlooks, Student Council changed the time and setting of coronation. Taking place at night, the event reigned with formality as Sue Burke, last year’s queen, crowned new royalty. “We feel the night time setting created a more formal atmosphere,” said junior Ron Trombley.
