1. Lon Lamprecht rehearses for a declamation tournament. 2. Sharing ideas and critiques are valuable tools for participants in declamation. Declamation Program Nets Medals, Trophies Under the direction of Mdme. Sagstuen, the French club again participated in a busy year. With an increase in membership, the group held their traditional activities. Among the most popular were taking field trips, learning to make crepes, eating out at a French restaurant, and giving skits. Mr. Franzen's Spanish club also experienced growth in its membership. Emphasizing cultural activities, the group saw a fairly calm year. In an effort to promote school spirit they staged colorful skits. Typical winter weather ruined plans for their roller skating party. Medals, trophies, and A-ratings were symbolic of decla- mation's success. With the return of Ms. Howe, the group had entrants in all categories and put in a long season. Their talents consistently proved that FLHS has a strong, respectable speech program that produces winners. SPANISH CLUB.
