Choir Climbs Scales Of Higher Excellence Melodies again filled the air of FLHS as the choirs got under way. Amidst the music, cries of “Tone, sopranos!” and “If you're that dull, I’d hate to take you out!” could be heard from director Jim Lindstrom. The choirs took on new organization as the girls' choirs split into treble choir and introduction to choir. The choirs presented Christ- mas and spring concerts in December and April respec- tively. The mixed choir was off to an early start, perform- ing a double choir concert with the New Richmond choir in October. Mezzmora, a group of 16 members from mixed choir, made various appearances at local events. The coming of spring saw the choir busy with state-re- gional contests, one individual and one mass choir. Office Aides “Rescue” Overworked Secretaries There are several small tasks around the school that were taken care of by students who volunteered (out of the goodness of their hearts) to work in the offices during their study halls. Library aides assisted the librarian by shelving books, helping students find what they were looking for, and checking out magazines. Office aides helped the secretaries by answering phones and doing odd jobs. Audio-visual aides proved useful in operating and taking care of projectors and other equipment. Aides in the guidance office delivered notices to students for counselor appointments and helped organize college ma- terials. All of these kindhearted souls helped to keep these offices running smoothly and made a great contri- bution to FLHS. ABOVE, GUIDANCE AIDES. BACK ROW: Penny Bathurst, Mary Dittmar.
