CUSTODIANS Maintaining a physical plant the size of the recently- expanded Forest Lake school is a never-ending task. Repairing, renovating and renewing the seemingly countless rooms, closets, halls, stages, and shops fall to the several people who make up the service staff of this system. While the nine outlying schools are served on a part-time basis, seven men and one woman have the main plant to care for, and are under the direction of Head Custodian Reynold Erickson. The thirty-two bus drivers who morning and evening, day after day traverse the nearly two hundred square miles of our district returning and picking up approximately fifteen hundred students, also play a vital part in keeping the school running smoothly. Five full-time cooks prepare nearly one hundred and eighty well-balanced meals during the school term. Assisting them are eleven part-time members of the kitchen staff. 14
