STUDENT COUNCIL The governing and legislative body of Forest Lake High School is the Student Council. Members are elected by their fellow classmates and try to help set up a co-operative school program that all may profit by. Taking an important part in school ac- tivities is the Parent-Teacher Association. Intended to bring the school and the com- munity closer together, the PTA sponsors various activities at FLHS, the biggest be- ing the annual Hallowe'en party. One of the big projects of the group this year was to help promote school district re- organization. Their efforts were worth while and FLHS now has a bigger school district. At left above, J. A. Hughes explains some of the advantages or reorganization to the membership. Above right, Roy Prentis, of the Bureau of Field Studies and Surveys, University of Minnesota, also speaks on re- organization.
