EDITOR ' S FOREWORD Sand dunes, breezes, fluffy clouds, rushing ocean — Drifts, Drafts, and Directions. A unique description of life here at our school. Drifts are the result of breezes causing parti- cles of sand to form a mound much like the gathering of people in the Forest Lake Acad- emy student body. Drafts are breezes, soft or harsh, that form those mounds or drifts, similar to the every- day influences that shape our individual lives as well as the spirit of our student body. Directions are the paths drifts take as the drafts push and shape them. Each one of us at Forest Lake Academy is responsible for the direction our life takes and for the effec- tiveness and direction we can lend to our student body. We hope that this book of your memories reflects your drift and that you have enjoyed pleasant drafts that have directed you up- ward. Kenneth C. Gano
