Right: Tom Miller work on his sophomors biology assign- ment. Bslow: Bagging oranges and grapefruit for the sophomore citrus sals are Jeanne Walker, left, and Carol Fatula. All of us are pointed in the direction of what we want to become. Everyone is actively, endlessly judging desiring, ad- justing - becoming. In this process of becoming, sophomores attempt to gain recognition and to find a sense of identity, an important part of the educational process. They strive to make a name for them- selves in academics, athletics or extracurricular activities. This is their common goal. During this tenth year, many adjustments must be made. The sophomores are faced with new responsibilities and obligations while, at the same time, enjoying new privi- leges and freedoms. They must get accustomed to new schedules and rou- tines, make new friends and develop new interests and pursuits. It is a slow process which requires much self- confidence and self-reliance. They must be patient with themselves and take things in stride and in so doing will eventually mesh with the upperclassmen and become an integral part of senior high. Much dedication and commitment are necessary in order that the sophomores be propelled into the Forest Hills spotlight. ? 'n The Spotlight 0? ° 4-Theme
