For economic reasons, the business education staff was reduced by one, giving the department three instruc- tors. Frank Krentz, who had taught commercial for a number of years, was transferred to the driver educa- tion position and the commercial chores were divided among the three remaining staff members. Bernice Mock taught shorthand, typing, and business exploratory. Linda Barnett's teaching duties in- cluded accounting, business ma- chines, and office practice. Diane Gvozdich taught typing, consumer education, shorthand and the word processor. After the first twelve weeks of school. Mrs. Mock decided to take a sabbatical leave and Karen Williams was hired as a substitute for the rest of the year. In the langauge department there were no personnel changes with Hans Ruddeck taking care of the German classes and Donna Graml- ing, the Spanish. Mrs. Gramling continued her annual pinata pro- gram at the elementary school as well as the Spanish IV group's giving a two-day Spanish instructional pro- gram to the first grade students. 25
