During the 1982-83 school year Dr. Robert Anderson, superintendent of schools, announced that the school district had completed all require- ments established by the Pennsyl- vania Department of Education to Pre-Register the elementary, junior high and senior high buildings as a part of the Pennsylvania School Im- provement Program. Building Pre- Registration involves a complete re- view of all programs and services at the building level, as well as the es- tablishment of Long Range Plans for the entire school district at the central office level. Dr. Anderson acknowledged the contributions of his administrative staff who played an integral role in the process. Special recognition was given through the presentation of a plaque in appreciation of the administrative contributions which were made during the Pre-Registra- tion process. Mr. Alex Afton, assis- tant superintendent, supervised the in-district School Improvement Pro- ject and coordinated his activities with the building administrators. In the senior high Mr. Edward Terek, principal, Mr. David Knepper, and Mr. Sam Plummer, assistant princi- pal were commended. Also given recognition were the principal and assistant principals of the junior high and the elementary schools. As part of the School District Long Range Planning Process, Dr. Ander- son and his administrative staff will conduct annual reviews of all build- ing programs and services, and will submit periodic progress reports to the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Upon completion of sat- isfactory progress reports, the three buildings will be awarded a Final Registration Certificate.
