On August 31, 1982, some 50 teachers, administrators, cus- todians, cooks and paraprofessionals came into the Forest Hills spotlight. There were some noticeable changes in the faculty with the retirement and resignation of several teachers as well as the transfer of teachers to other schools or departments. However, regardless of the new look, the role of the teacher didn't change. Teachers continued to prepare students for career choices and also acted as coaches or advisors in school activities. Besides contributing practical knowledge, the teacher also helped the students gain insight into the complex problems of the day.
