Tliis generation believes in getting involved and helping others. (Kim Law) Each of us is in some way involved, either with our friends, our studies, or the various activities set up by the school. Association with friends helps us to communicate our ideas and gain self-con- fidence as a result of their support. Through classroom participation, debates, and panel dis- cussions we learn to develop a sense of responsibility. We satisfy the need for competition and recognition by taking part in sports and cooperating with others in activities. But there are times when you want to be an individual, alone with your thoughts, alone with your emotions or just alone with somebody you care about. Sometimes you do things a little out of the ordinary just to be different, to prove that you are an individual You can be influenced by so many different things—your family, your peers, your environment, or even the place of your birth, but despite all of these, you are unique.
