Student Council Reactivated This year. Forest Hills has or- ganized and has re-activated the Stu- dent Council. The main purpose of the Student Council is to represent the student body and to allow the opinions and views of fellow class- men to be presented and discussed. Meetings are held monthly to dis- cuss these various problems. In this way. Student Council senes as a student government. Faculty advisor for the Council is Mrs. Morgan. She has provided the necessary' advice and help needed to re-organize the Student Council. Activities of Student Council are designed for the benefit and for the enjoyment of the students. In Decem- ber, a Christinas Dance was held and proved to be a great success. Music was provided by the Kindred Spirit. Proceeds from the dance will help pay for new letters for the front of the school building. During January, Student Council was instrumental in obtaining money for the Student Flower Fund. In the event of death in the immediate family of a student, flowers are purchased with this money. A total of eighty dollars was collected. On January 19, faculty members and Student Council officers dis- cussed the procurement of letters for the front of the school building. The discussion was held at the ju- nior high school, and gave Council officers an opportunity to voice opin- ions concerning the proposals. Through the efforts of Student Council, the students of Forest Hills can now present their views and opinions of school activities for dis- cussion.
