Dear Seniors: I wish to take this means of thanking the seniors for your fine cooperation during the first year at Forest Hills High School. It has been a challenge and you, the seniors, have tried in many ways to meet these challenges. We owe a deep debt of gratitude to those who made this year a success. It is my hope that as you ad- vance in life, you will never forget your association with us and will be instrumental in remembering the role we must play in the development of good citizens. We ask for your continued support for the school and, any service you can render will be ap- preciated. May you achieve all the success you have coming to you in the future. For a job well done I say ‘thank you’ and that it has been an honor working with you. J. P. Madigan High School Principal 9 JOSEPH P. MADIGAN - Principal

Dear Graduate: Whatever happened to the past twelve years? Before we got a chance to talk to you about the birds and the bees, you could tell us--in Latin, Spanish and German. But, before you leave us let’s look at some items we never covered in the past years. You’ll do what your own ideals demand, and seek what your own heart desires; but if your intelligence could somehow pick up where Dad’s and Mother’s knowledge leaves off, it would spare you some skinned shins. Smile a lot. There are only two ways you can pay your debt to the human race. You owe enthusiasm to your employer and pleasantness to your associates. And, for your own sake, find a kind of work that in- terests you. No job is all fun or all easy or even all pleasant, but if your job isn’t interesting you will live a dreary and weary life. Time is going to mellow you eventually whether you like it or not. Time is going to teach you a certain patience and tolerance. Don’t pick up too many vices. Life has a way of overcharging a fellow for over indulgence. And when the world looks lop-sided, remember that you are being sized up for a more symmetrical place. If you can—measure up. 8 DAVID L. SMITH - Superintendent
