Charles Donald Owens Garrison COACHES CORNER Coach Owens attended Advance Iligh School. He holds a B, S, degree from Indiana University and will receive his M. S. degree from Ball State College this summer. His first coaching assignment was at Jackson Twp. High School in Boone County in 1952, There he was Varsity Baseball, B. Team, and Jr, High Coach, In 1953 he moved to Monterey High School and a Head Coaching job. At Monterey he became Varsity Basketball, Baseball, and Track Coach. Here he remained until 1957 when he took over as Basketball Coach of Forest High School, Ile has an overall record of 66 wins and 56 losses. He served in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1946, He was with the 83rd Infantry Division in the European Area in 1944 and 1945, He is married and has 1 daughter and 2 sons. Coach Garrison graduated from Michigantown High School, He received a B. S, degree from Ball State College in 1950, - He began his teaching career at La Porte in 1951. In 1952 he moved to Jackson Twp, , Randolph Co. where he had his first coaching job. The next year he traveled to Macy High School in Miami Co. and became Head Basketball Coach, Ile came to Forest in 1954, and for two years, he was head Basketball and Baseball Coach, lle then resigned his basketball duties to devote his full time to base- ball, He has brought Forest 4 County Baseball Championships and his overall record is 28 wins and 5 losses. He served in the Navy during World War ll and was for a time on the Ll, S, S, Indianapolis, and the l', S, S, Baltimore. I-le is married and has 1 daughter, - 47 .
