SENIUH BAND MEMBERS A band tuning up to a B-flat scale, the crooked lines as the band marched up and down the practice field, cold, icy fingers fumbling for the right keys, big drops of rain making one big blur of our music,-these are only a few of the memories of this year's band rehearsals. Being ardent supporters of our football squad, we followed them to most of the games. Not only did we boost the cheering section, but prided ourselves in putting on interesting shows during the halt-time. During the summer and fall we entered several holiday parades and other events in neighboring communities. Like always, we ended marching band with the annual fall supper. After a month in concert band, we gave a concert which was the last to be directed by Mr. Balmer. Contests came next on the agenda. Everyone, especially Mr. Shellhammer, was glad when they were over. Then we started to get ready for our spring concert and the music festival held at Kenton. Those were the last band performances for our senior members. They only listened when the band played at graduation service.
