omecoming At, the Annual Homecoming the Rangers defeated Delphos Jefferson with a score of 13-12. The Homecoming Queen of 1952-1953, chosen by the student body, was Alice Thiel, a senior. Leota Phillips, senior, and Carolyn Clinger, junior, were also chosen. During half-time, Queen Alice and her attendants entered the field through an aisle formed by the band and were escorted by the squad captain, Tom Price and co-captain Duane Smith. They were presented and given gold mums by the 1951-1952 Queen, Carolyn Baum. After the game, the annual homecoming dance was held in the school gymnasium with the visitors from Delphos invited. The students formed an aisle through which her majesty and attendants crossed the floor to the stage and her throne where Captain Tom Price crowned Alice, 1952-1953 Homecoming Queen.
