Srniur Will Nl-'e, the Class of 1926, of Forest Grove High School, with great pleas- ure and a few tears, as we leave this structure of bricks, do hereby declare this our last will and testament. First: ive leave many hours of study and thoughts of a few extra eighth periods and sessions in the ofiiee. Second: VVe leave a goodly supply of gum on the underside of the desks to our responsible janitor. Third: VVe take wit.h us the faeulty. They couldn't endure our ab- sence. Fourth: lVe also leave to the Student Body a beneh we could not take with us. Fifth: Our members wish to bequeath the following to those herein mentioned: , I I, Fanny Gott, leave the blue skies above and the earth below-I am going to establish my record elsewhere. 1. Eugene I-Ienderling, leave everything but my footprints. I, Louis Hackett. as president of the Student Body, leave all my privileges such as missing English Class and going to sleep at odd moments, to next year's president. I, Helen VVhited. leave for George. My days of shedding tears are ended. I. Ernest French, leave my hat. It has been chasing rabbits in East- ern Orvgon during the second semester. I, Harold Knox, leave a broken shoulder to Arthur Needham if he plays football. I. Neva Parsons, do hereby leave Lysle to The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. ' I, Harold Finnegan, leave my numerous blushing abilities to Dan Moran in fear that he will forget how if not coached at intervals I. Emma Gene Fish, take my habit of promptness with me. I'1l need it later. I, Roy I,aFollette. don't leave much--but what I really do leave can take care of herself. I I, Victoria Seymour. leave my prominence and importance to Vililliam Mays. I, I.ueen Hoskins, leave my brother, Frankie, stranded-with no means of transportation to Cornelius. And Lida Rice and Hazel Lilly, whom I next did see, VVere running a large dancing school and quite successfully. Aliec Redetzkc next I saw, and Neva Parsons, too, Careering down in Hollywood--I know it scarce seems true. Then turned I to Blanche Tucker, and it made my senses numb, She was the portly matron in a school for deaf and dumb. And next I saw a parson in his black and sober gown, And I saw 'twas Leon Vlialkcr, a preacher in this town. And next I saw Iola Gross. a-dancing on l1er toes ' In a large and famous theatre where the king of England goes. Then saw I Mildred Crowthers, and Lueen Hoskins, too, In a dark and smelly kitchen, a-making strong home brew. Then saw I Horace lVilson on the stage of a theatre, A-starring in the famous play, The Modern W'oman Hater. Next I saw Vllaltcr Reisner in a stand down on the street, A-selling roasted peanuts, and lollypops so sweet. Then up stepped a book agent, and it gave me twenty shocks 'When in that mild hook pcddler. I saw our Harold Knox. Then Emma Gene Fish did I spy, and my! I was surprised, She was a lady doctor. and a good one. I surmised. Next I saw that Harold Finnegan and Eugene Henderling YVere busy undertakers with business in full swing. Thcn Edith Long I vhanced to see-and say, I thought Ifd Hop! She was a lady barber in a pretty barber shop. Then I saw Clayton Foreman, and laugh-I thought I'd die! He was sweeping dirty chimneys in a little town near by. Then two train conductors in uniform I saw. One was Mm-do Hickox and the other Lloyd Shaw. Then I saw Roy Lalfollette-O, what a life to choose! For I saw him in a boot-blaek's shop a-shining peoples' shoes. I took the glasses off my nose and heaved a mighty sigh. Then I got my pen and paper.. and wrote down each scene my eye Had gathered through the spectacles-these have I told to youg And if you don't like them, Seniors, you know what you can do.. M. E. A. May they be assisted in their upward climb. I, lValter Rcisner, leave my violin to this institution to be used as a baseball bat. I, Lloyd Shaw, leave my singing abilities to Paul Chalmers with hopes that he docsn't get his mouth stuck open in the process.
