Dedication Our hearts are being constantly sad- dened by the news of yet another and another of our own boys who has given his life in the desperate and valiant serv- ice of his country. Not one of them but is fondly remembered and deeply honored. We wish that we could do something fine and honorable in return. We can only pray that we shall be worth the sacrifice, and that we shall ever strive to make this world one in which our boys will henceforth be brothers in peace with all other boys no matter where. And so it is that in sorrowful love and pride and firm resolution, we dedicate this volume of the Forester to our Forest boys who have died in this World War.
