This year's track team had an impressive second place finish in the Wolverine A League. It was a good year for track but next season could be rough. The team is losing nine seniors, all of whom were important to the team. There were two records broken this year: the mile relay which consisted of Lori Abbas, Heather Newman, Samira Ashkar and Sandi Abbas; the other record that was broken was the 100 m hurdles by Sue Lotarski. The team had two regional champs: Judy Burke in high jump and Sue Lotarski in the 100 m hurdles. They both went to the state meet along with Amy Lance who was in the high jump. This coming year the team could have new coaches because the girls' coach, P. J. Mahar, may become the head coach for the boys' team. There will be a lot of returners and with some work the team could be a good one. Upper Right: Sue Lotarski shows her great long jumping style. Above: Hanh Jarvis is running on air. Above Right: Mandy, don't fall asleep!” Below: Rita Polidori can't wait to get rid ol the baton. Below Right: Angela Temilko and Julie Anderson are caught standing around.
