The Fordson Tractor Harriers had an exciting season finishing with an overall record of 5-1 and capturing the regional title. Bob Abraham led the pack and captured the honors of all-city, all-league, all-region, and all-state. Seniors Vince Mahar, Nate Church, and Mike Vetowich all had produc- tive seasons and helped set exam- ples for the whole team. Mahar took all-city honors and lhab Hamka took both all-city and all-league. The team placed second in the league and second in the city. All of the sweat and hard work paid off as the harriers won their first ever regional title. ABOVE LEFT: Samir Ashkar finishes well and hopes to do well next year. Fordson 39 GIRLS' CROSS COUNTRY Monroe Opponent 16 19 St. Alphonsus 45 19 Wayne 39 41 Trenton 19 21 Belleville 36 39 Edsel Ford 16 W - 3 (Low score wins in CC) L - 3 The Girls' Cross Country team had an interesting vear finishing 3rd in the city and league, and fifth in the regionals. Veterans to the team included Samira Ashkar, Lisa Williams, Krista O'Sada, and Heather New- man. New members were Holly Didyk, Lily Bobosky, Lorraine O'Hara, and Julie Anderson. The team ended the year at 3-3 with the season dominated by Ashkar, who took both all-city and all-league and was voted most valuable runner.

TOP LEFT: Chris Marinakos and David Guerrieri try to be serious while on the green. 20 Golf The Boys' Golf Team had a disappointing year with a 3-11-1 record, despite some fine individual rounds. The best round was shot by Sophomore Brian Stuk, who record- ed a 36. Victories included a league triumph over Wyandotte. Coach Joe McKae termea it a rebuilding year. He was mildly optimistic about next year with four returning varsity players in Junior Jim Murray and Sophomores David Guerrieri, William Murray, and Brian Stuk. Senior Captain Tom Cataldo was named to All-League and All-City. •v.
