Math Classes Challenge Students Each year there is an in- creasing demand for mathema- tics at Fordson. Students at Fordson have the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of math classes from the basic refresher course to advanced mathematics, such as trigonometry and pre-calculus. Students may also take Computer Math 1 and 2 or Data Processing. Fordson students were sad- dened to hear the news of Mr. Robert Olsen’s death this past summer. Business Classes Teach Career Skills ‘The business classes help prepare students to enter the world of work. They provide students the basic skills necessary to apply for and hopefully obtain an entry level job in the business area ' stated Miss Marilyn Westrich, head of the Business Department. One of the more challenging business classes offered is Clerical Office Block. This class helps students become acquainted with the different types of equipment used and various situations that occur in an office. There are many different types of modern equipment used in the business classes, including electronic typewriters, transcribing equipment, calculators, word processing screens, and CRT’s.
