Simple addition to computers at Fordson TOP LEFT: Mr. Robert Flee tutors his math harem. CENTER LEFT: Mrs. Mary Hodak is caught looking through the answer book. RIGHT: Both Mr. James Gunton and his 9th graders find Fordson a challenge. Fordson offers many math classes to those students who are interested. With the addition of the ninth grade to Fordson the Math Department has expanded its course offerings. All ninth graders take math classes. To meet the increased number of classes, three teachers were added to the staff: Mr. John Dalida and Mr. James Gunton, both from Lowrey, and Mr. Ken Kosmalski from Salina. The Math Department at Fordson offers a wide variety of classes. The classes range in difficulty from basic math to trigonometry. With the technological advances in society. Fordson has added a number of courses in computer math. Thus, students can choose the type of math that meets their needs. 24 Math

Business teaches important skills The Fordson High School Business Department has added two new members to its staff. Mrs. Mary Croope, who had been teaching at Lowrey Junior High, joined the department along with Mrs. Pat Monson, who was at Stout last year. They are teaching some of the typing classes and introductory business courses. When asked how the two are adjusting to Fordson, Miss Marilyn Westrich, department chairperson, replied, “Well, with a whole new section of ninth graders, they should help out a great deal.” ABOVE: Mrs. Mary Croope gives her students a dazzling smile.
