January Senior Class Officers Standing: Bill Smereka, treasurer; Barbara Yokie, director; John Dorrans, director; Sitting: Loraine Burton secretary; Jerry Poole, vice-president; Wally Justus, president; Christine Murphy, director. JANUARY SENIORS Now that we have reached these January seniors let's stop and reminisce. These are just more students with whom I have worked during the three-year term, but I still remember them well. I used to sit with them at the football games, and I went to all their dances. How well I remember the J-Hop. We had a great time putting it over. It was a lot of work, but we loved it. And we must not forget the Christmas program. We had a lot of fun making the wreaths and the garlands. By Christmas week, we were all ready for Santa. Then senior week finally arrived, and we had a wonderful time! I remember how proud the graduates were to don the traditional caps and gowns, and how proud I was to put the many club and honor pins on their gowns. I handed them their diplomas the night of January 25, 1951, and said good-bye. This was the end of my job with this class. But, I must admit that I did take a little look-in at the Senior Prom, and everything was just perfect. 12
