ALPHA DELTA SIGMA Joseph Forte President Frst row Robert Schertzer, Raymond Walsh, Lenord Rosenbaum. Second row: Allen Formichella, Thomas Gray, George Sloane. Alpha Delta Sigma is an honorary, profes- sional fraternity for college students interested in advertising or some related field. More spe- cifically, its purpose is to promote a keener un- derstanding of what advertising is and should be. Additionally, it serves as a medium of contact between students and members of the business world. ADS was formed in 'l9l3 at the University of Missouri and has grown so that it is now a national organization composed of fifty-one active undergraduate chapters and ten active alumni chapters throughout the country. Every odd numbered year, a national con- vention is held to discuss policies and progress of the fraternity. Awards are given annually First row: Eugene Mitchell, Bruce Whyte, Joseph Forte, Bernard Ccvais, John Neef. Second row: Arthur Martin, John Hauf, John Balco, Val Cerutti, Carlos Nazario, Joseph Alberti, Donald Tanguay for chapters reporting the best progress, ac- tively and efficiency, as well as awards in cer- tain areas of activity. Some of the main activities of the Ben Duffy Chapter of ADS in the past year have been: A radio program on WFUV depicting advertising as an Economic Necessity , Distribution of Careers , an aid to all iob-conscious seniors throughout the University, Opportunities to meet professional members to discuss adver- tising and its possibilities as a career, A field trip through BBDO, one of the largest advertis- ing agencies in the world, And finally, the for- mation of an advertising workshop to promote ll Marketing as a maior and 2D public service advertisements.

Murray. dent, the activities sponsored by Gamma Al- pha Chi are centered about the Father-Daugh- ter Buttet, the Mother-Daughter Tea and Fash- ion Show and a Variety Show. Gamma Alpha Chi also participates in the Career Conference, sponsored by the Advertising Women ot New York. In addition, the chapter provides pub- licity services for various school organizations and activities.

The purpose is the following: To create or improve the relationship between the Fordham University School of Business and the industrial firms in the New York Metropolitan Area. The Pl RHO OMEGA Fraternity is aiding its members not only in developing them as fu- ture business executives but also in preparing them socially. This is achieved through a well rounded social calendar which keeps them uni- ted and informed about each other's future interests.
