Gamma Alpha Chi Gamma Alpha Chi, the National Professional Advertising Fraternity for Women, was founded at the University of Missouri in l92O. lt was not until i953 that a chapter was established at Fordham. Under the untiring efforts of its moderator, Professor Albert Romano, the Alpha Epsilon Chapter has climbed the stairs of success, At the National Convention held at Indiana University in l958, Ford- ham's chapter in nationwide competition with other colleges, won the Bea Johnson Achievement Cup for the second consecutive time. This cup was presented to the Alpha Epsilon Chapter as a result of activities such as the annual fashion show, Mother-Daughter Tea, the Career Conference sponsored by the Advertising Women of New York, and participation in promoting Ad Week. The Bea Johnson Award.

Cheers for Alpha Omega. The Alpha Omega Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi is the Ford- ham Chapter of the National Honorary Accounting Fratern- ity. Membershipfis open to Junior and Senior Accounting majors who have maintained high scholastic grades in all subjects and distinguished grades in 'their majors. The fraternity officers: John Sutherland, President, Rose- mary Morgan, Vice President, Ken Meeker, Secretary, and Kevin O'Brien, Treasurer, with the advice and assistance of Prof. Silvan A. Tesoriere, Fac- ulty Vice President, planned and executed a full program for the year. This year's program featured seven formal meetings, with guest speakers, two parties, and two inductions of mem- bers. The highlight of the year was the induction of student, faculty and honorary members which was held at the New York Athletic Club in Novem- ber. At this affair Lawrence E. Gaydos President l 62 The branch ,of Alpha Delta Sigma functioning at Fordham has as its main purpose the achievement and operation ot a program designed to instruct the student in the application of advertising theory to practical advertising experience. All the members of ADS are associate members either of the Advertising Federation of America or the Advertising Association of the West. ln addi- tion, each chapter sponsors activities peculiar to the chapter. The Ben Duffy Chapter of ADS at Ford- ham University publishes a monthly paper called Rampages. Fordham's chapter was also awarded the Lineage Award and the Eldrifge Peterson Award for the aca- demic year l957-1958, Those awards are granted to the ADS chapter in the New York area which sponsors the greatest number of activities. One of these activities is the presentation of an annual Fashion Show held in conjunction with GAX. 1 'ZBHfAKi
