Buck Row: Coach Art O'Connor, John MacNeil, Tom XV ard, Tom Brennan, Paul Bopko, Pete Swiers, Bernie Condon, Brian Condon. . Coach Artie OfConnor's 1958 Track Squad is composed of practically the same personnel as last year except for the loss of Captain Ed McCuirk and Leo Riveria. However, Sophomores Brian Condon and Don Luisi have performed brilliantly as their replacements. As usual,' Coach O'Connor concentrated on the mile and the two mile relays. The mile relay consisted of: John Mullane, a Senior who handled' the diflicult lead OH leg, Paul Bopko, a Business School Junior whose best time for the 440 was 50.1, Brian Condon, a Soph who has' been timed in under forty-nine seconds for the 440, Tom Brennan, a Junior powerhouse who has run the 880 in 156.6 and is a potential forty-eight second 440 man, Bill Krebs, a member of the mile relay 'for three years, is 'a forty-seven second quarter miler and has run.the half in under 1:57. I V - Brennan and Krebs,. both versatile runners, alternate between the mile and two mile relays. The rest of the two mile relay is made up of: Tom XVard, a'Ser1ior in the College who has done the half mile in 1:54.4g Don Luisi, the tremen- dous Soph who also runs the mile and has been clocked in at '4:16g John Hand, Fordham's outstanding 880 man whose best time for the half mile is 1:53.2. Besides these two relays, the Rams have several standouts in the distance events. Art Cunningham and XValt Cooper are among the' better two milers in the East. Both have been clocked at 9:80 for this event. Tommy Kearns and John MacNeil are two more middle distance men on the squad.
