During the deployment we will have served over 700 meals, spent in excess of S125,000,00 for food, disbursed over 37 20,000.00 in pay and allowances to the crew, sold more than 380,000.00 of merchandise out of the ship's store, sold over 180,000 cans of soda and turned over more than 820,000.00 to . the ship's welfare and recreation account from prof- 1 its generated through the retail operations division. We will have washed over 110,000 pounds of laundry and pressed more than 14,000 shirts and pants for E- 6 and above and given more than 4000 haircuts. We have spent more than 1.5 million dollars on fuel, water, water taxis, buses, port services, and repair parts to keep FORD on the cutting edge as a forward deployed fighting unit. We have qualified for the supply BLUE E for the third consecutive year. We have instituted the Food Service Attendant of the Month program, the birthday meal, steak and lobster night and hosted numerous luncheons and recep- l tions to such notable persons as CTF 73!75, CJ TFME, DESRON 22, and numerous heads of state and foreign diplomats. X - Division includes the Yeomen, Personnelmen, Hospital- men, and the Postal Clerk who are responsible for a myriad of administrative and medical services. They are responsible for maintaining over 200 service records, controlling all transfers and arrivals, distributing and forwarding of all mail, and resolving the many administrative situations that arise on a daily basis. Medical department, Doc and Baby Doc, provided medical and dental services ranging from rou- tine to acute life threatening emergencies.
