56552 fled! ome Eejicafion The Ford City High School athletic field and field house were formally dedi- cated during ceremonies on the field preceding the Ford City- Plum Town- ship game, September 16, l955. P. N. Marsh, Superintendent of schools, served as master of ceremonies. A view of the crowd attending the game appears at the top of this page. The Ford City coach, Walter Charley, and the co-captains Bob Wolverton and Pete McGuire are shown on the bottom- center photo. Dr. A. R. Pechan, president of the school board, lbottom, left, delivered the dedication address. He lauded Mr. Marsh as the per- son most responsible for the completion of the field and field house. An appropriate title for a faculty member who has been a loyal advisor as well as an excellent teacher dur- ing his long career at F. C. H. S. He is the chief man behind our basketball fame and has made the little town of Ford City outstanding throughout Pennsylvania. And so with great pride and pleasure, we the graduating class of l956, wish to dedicate our yearbook to you, Mr. Rupert, hoping as we do so, that it will serve as a lasting memory ofa class that will always remember you. 4
