FOREWORD Dear Readers: “Light tomorrow with today,” a quote by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, is very appropriate as we write this fore- word and in our own very small way leave our own individual marks on Forbes Road High School. Lighting tomorrow is exactly our goal in publishing this annual. If, in the years to come, the 1977 Cardinal brings enjoyment to its owners, then we shall feel that we have accomplished our objective. For in each word, in each picture, lies a moment of time captured forever between the covers of this book. The path of education that we have followed has, at many times been rough but never ceased to be rewarding. As we leave this portion of our life, we take with us all the knowledge and training we have received throughout the years. Take with you also your fond memories and experiences. Cherish these forever in your hearts. Our only regret in the publication of this yearbook is that the people so responsible for the shaping of our characters have not been honored—our parents, to whom we owe our very lives. We should like to take this opportunity to thank those whose help has been so valuable: to Mrs. Mosebey and Miss Wood, our advisors, who have given countless hours of their time and generous guidance, and to all the members of the
