Senior Class Advisors Mr. Thomas Cypher Mrs. Mildred Graeber Senior Class Of ficers President Vice-President Nancy Keebaugh Craig Cutchall Secretary Treasurer Karen Grissinger Dennis Mosebey Class History We, the senior class of 19b9, entered the halls of Forbes Road High School in 1963 as lowly underclassmen—better known as dumb little seventh graders. We soon changed this, though, as we attained the rank of dumb little eighth graders the following year. During these first two years at Forbes, little was done as to class activities except election of class officers; so let us proceed. In 1965, we returned to the welcome facts that we were known as freshmen and could at last begin to join clubs. We held a roller-skating party as our first official money-making project. Our sophomore year began in 1966. We started the year by selling sweatshirts and hats. Another roller-skating party was held for some entertainment (spelled $ $ $) and we presented a Christmas assembly which proved to be an enormous hit. To top off the year, we gave the departing seniors the annual Farewell Dance. During our junior year, we were saddened by the death of one of our class- mates, David Martz. To help defray the expenses incurred during his serious illness, the members of his class sold magazine subscriptions and were able to donate two hundred dollars to the David Martz Fund. In October of our junior year, we received our beautiful, long-awaited class rings. (Unfortunately, many were lost rather quickly.) Chances were sold during November. We transformed the gym for the Christmas Dance, A Christmas World, which featured a musical group instead of a disc jockey to provide the music for the evening. In the spring, the entire class was involved with pre- senting the class play, Great Caesar's Ghost. A lot of hard work (and many, many roses) were necessary before we hosted the class of '68 to the Junior- Senior Prom, Moonlight and Roses, in May. In September, 1968, we began our last, and what proved to be our busiest, year at dear ol' Forbes Road. We began by holding the Back-to-School Dance—the most profitable dance tield to date and one of the most enjoyable. An equally great dance was held in November to celebrate the arrival of fall. The senior play, No Boys Allowed, was presented in November, and the short time remaining till Christmas was filled with selling chances and Christmas cards. Our senior trip in the spring was an experience we will never forget (nor will our good ol' chaperones). Now, as we approach our graduation, we realize that our years at Forbes are at last coming to an end. We look back now in reflection. We remember the basketball games, the dances, the many classes we were sure we would never pass—and some we didn't—all those sympathetic teachers who did their best to enlighten our dark little minds, and much, much more. And as we reminisce, we come face-to-face with the fact that we are now leaving all this. We now will be on our own—to go our separate ways to success. We depart from Forbes with high hope and many fond remembrances of the past six years. We depart as the class of '69—a class we hope will not soon be forgotten—for we will not soon forget Forbes.
