Class History As we remember our active years at Forbes Road, our freshman year comes first to mind. That was the year we wore those silly initiation outfits for FHA and FFA and were, for the first time, allowed to -join the various clubs. That year we started our first money-making project, a roller skating party. We also sold license plates representing our proud school. The sophomore year started out bv our selling sweatshirts. The year ended with our giving the Senior Farewell Dance. Before school ended, we had the difficult task of deciding on our course for the remaining vears. Birthday parties seemed to start out our junior year. Meanwhile we waited patiently for our class rings, which arrived on November 4. The Christmas Dance was our next money-making project. Spring brought the dream of all teenage girls The Prom which was held on April 15 using the theme Paris by Night. The gym was decorated with Parisian scenes such as the Eiffel Tower and sidewalk cafes. The music was provided by Phil Young's Orchestra from Chambersburg. Then we began that long awaited year—the senior year. What a busy year'. Decisions—college, trade school, or a job? Also included with these problems was the one of raising money for our trip to New York. The first fund-raising project was a back-to-school dance called Memory Lane. Selling Christmas cards and yearbook ads took up our spare time. Grandpa Goes to College, our class play, featured thirteen class members as actors and actresses and a few more stage hands. Spring arrived again, this time, with graduation. High school was over; we faced the future knowing that our years at Forbes Road had been happy ones.
