We began with sixty-five class members. Our first two years were spent in getting acquainted with the teachers, our fellow classmates, and the new school. In 1963, we returned as brave freshmen. Although some of our former classmates had dropped out, we found that some had been added. We began our money-making projects by sponsoring our first dance the Spring Hop. This year we had one of our most memorable activities, our trip to the Gettysburg Battlefield. We also presented an assembly program. After a short summer vacation we returned as sophomores, more de- termined than ever to succeed. We sold sweatshirts as one of our money-making projects. We also held the annual Farewell Dance for the departing seniors. We returned in 1964 as juniors, one step closer to our diplomas. This year we received our most cherished possession, our class rings. These magical words, In the Misty Moonlight, carried out the theme of our Junior-Senior Prom. The prom was held on April 14, 1965 with the Phil Young Orchestra providing the entertainment for the prom- goers. An enchanted mood was given by the starry blue ceiling, the rainbow colored fountain, and our hanging moon. Other activities of the busy junior year were the Autumn Hop, the Christmas Dance, the Junior Gig, the After-the-Prom Dance, and an assembly program. Our senior year was filled with many exciting events and some rather sad ones. We began our activities by having a Back-to- School Dance. Our most profitable project was the sale of Christmas cards and assortments. Our senior class play, Here Come the Brides, provided the audience with many laughs and thrills. The cast consisted of eleven seniors, but it required the participation of everyone, either in presentation or preparation. Now as we take the few remaining steps out into the world, we find graduation to be one of the most difficult events to face. Each one of us will take with him fond and cherished memories of Forbes—memories of good times, pleasures of working with faculty and administrative members, and of all the other wonderful events that took place during our seven years at Forbes.
