DEDICATION Because of their perseverance and consideration for us, we, the class of '614. of the Forbes Road High School, wish to dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Ralph Kline and Mr. Albert Corman. During our Junior year, as our class advisors, they showed us under- standing. They willingly gave us assistance whenever possible. Above all they were helpful and kind. We appreciate all that they have done for us and we take this opport- unity to thank them. PRINCIPAL Clifford Berkstresser B.S., M. Ed. We were moved by the spirit of cupid in ninth grade, for this was really the last time we exchanged valentines. As a money-making project we held a Valentines Dance. In our sophomore year, we sold sweat shirts, which were white with blue lettering. We also held the annual Farewell Dance for the departing seniors that year. Our junior year was full of events which were exciting and memo- rable. Our first event of the year was a hayride to Jerry Springs. We then received our class rings. This, we realized, was one more step closer to graduation. We sponsored a very successful Christmas Dance; and shortly afterward, plans for the Prom were underway. The Prom, which was held May 18, proved to be rewarding. The theme, Apple Blossom Time, called for decorations consisting of an apple tree in the center of the gymnasium and many colorful streamers. Also during our junior year, we presented an assembly program. Acts rang- ing from hillbilly singing in the Ozarks to making recordings in a California studio were delivered to the audience. Our senior year was filled with many exciting events and some rather sad ones. Graduation was the event we found most difficult to face. We held a Back-to-School Dance, and soon we sponsored a hayride Our most important money-making project was the selling of Christmas cards and assortments. We sold bracelets from which the name of our school was attached in single letters. The senior play, Have a Date consisted of a cast of only nine seniors, but it required the partic- ipation of every class member in some form, either in the preparation or in the presentation. It would be impossible to describe in a few words our trip to New York City. The World's Fair was the picturesque event that really took our breath. Let each one of us always remember Forbes Road High School and the wonderful friendships we have made while obtaining our education. Flora E. Friends whose names we may forget But whose friendships was well met We talked to them about the life That was grand-yet filled with strife. Teachers, who our lessons taught Bestowed knowledge that couldn't be bought The great impression they have made We’re told will never, never fade. The many pages that we have turned The many facts that we have learned Will follow us throughout the days As we all go our separate ways.
