Except for a roller-skating party and a trip to Cowan's Gap, our first year was not a momentous one. As sophomores we returned, one step closer to getting our diplomas. Our social activities this year consisted of an ice cream party, two roller-skating parties, and a class banquet. As a money-making project, we sold school jackets. Beginning at Forbes Road High School in 1959, even more determination was put forth. This was the year we received- our class rings and held a Junior-Senior Prom. Other activities included a New Year's party, chancing off a turkey, and selling ice cream to increase our treasury funds. The following year we came back, happy to have the rank of Seniors . Thinking increased knowledge was unnecessary, many of our classmates dropped out. This left only thirty- three of us remaining to graduate. To earn money for our class trip in May, we presented the play, Grandad Steps Out , held a Christmas Dance, sold candy, chanced off a rifle, and sold Christmas cards. Now, though we are glad to conclude our study here, we regret having to leave the classes at Forbes Road High School. . LOW DOWN W illing to work Favorite Expression: Hey! The Student Council is based on this belief, and through this organization much is learned about the institution of democracy. Acting under a grant of power from the administration, the Student Council enacts and enforces rules and represents the general interests of the students so as to maintain a higher standard of social living in the school and a spirit of mutual under- standing auad co-operation between the student body aind the school administration. There are to be two delegates elected to the council from each class. The president of each class shall automatically become a member of the Student Council.
