DEDICATION We, The Senior Class of I960, respectfully dedicate this edition of our yearbook to Mr. Clifford Berkstresser. His never ending patience, wonderful sense of humor, understanding, and assistance have contributed greatly to- ward the happiness and success of these past years. They are assets for which this class and many others are grate- ful. He has been our class advisor, athletic coach, and teacher; but most of all, he has been our friend. Most of our first year was spent acquainting ourselves to the students, teachers, and the school. Outside of having a roller skating party, bake sales, and other money-making projects, our first year was an uneventful one. Our second year we held smother roller skating party and sold school jackets. During our Junior year we received our class rings, held a Jr.-Sr. Banquet, another roller skating party, sold ice cream, chanced off a turkey, held a Christmas Party, and in May; a Spring Dance. Although we had no play, it was a successful year. We started our Senior year in the new Forbes Road High School. In November, we took part in our Senior Play, AUNT SUSIE SHOOTS THE WORKS . Our money-making projects included selling candy and Christmas cards. We plan to go to New York City for our class trip during May. But the big day, the one we are all looking forward to, is June 2, when we will get our diplomas and be the first graduating class of the new Forbes Road High School. That certain Chevy School Dancing, Roller Skating Typist SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY Dearest Friends, It has been ten years since we were Seniors at Forbes Road High School, and we got to wondering what all the kids were doing now. What better way is there to find out than to go visit them. We began our journey by going first to Pittsburgh, where we found JUDY FRAKER teaching foreign languages at the University. BETTY MALOT was also teaching there, but she was lost in a laboratory and we didn't get to see her. We then went to the airport where we saw MARY HALL who worked in the ticket office. We boarded a plane and were on our way with BILL JOHNSON as our pilot and EDNA CLINE as our hostess. We stopped in Indiana where we found RONALD SHADLE, owner and operator of the Indian- apolis Speedway. We continued on and found SARAH SHAW teaching history to the Pueblo Indians in Colorado. Leaving her with her classes, we went to Nevada where we found LARRY MORT who was very widely known in that state. With his guitar and long sideburns, he had become a second Elvis and was being worshiped by all the teenagers in that area. Our next stop was in California, where we found quite a number of the kids. First, we found GAREY SPROWL as the owner of a 48-room hotel, each room the size of the average three-room apartment. We found ELAINE EICHELBERGER and NANCY KNEPPER as movie stars. They told us .VANDA FORE- MAN was a beautician in downtown Hollywood. We went to Hawaii and found JUDY EARLEY and DORETTA KNEPPER per- forming the Hawaiian hula. They told us they were working in Washing- ton D. C. but were now vacationing in Hawaii. As we had a little lei- sure time, we attended a large theater and found HARPER BLACK and DOUG HENRY, who are now well-known actors, doing a few scenes from their latest play. On our way home, we passed through Arizona where we met DON BROWN, the Dodgers' star pitcher, going to spring training. In New Mexico, we found that JOAN HOUCK and her husband had just struck oil in their yard. Passing through Texas, we found PEGGY EARLEY just completing her train- ing at the Air Force Base. We stopped at Howard Johnson's Restaurant in Louisiana for a coffee break and found MYRTLE WIBLE as manager. Also, we found DENNIS MART7. teaching English in a local high school. ..e returned home after a worthwhile urip and we are planning smother one real soon.
