We looked forward to initiation with hopes of belonging to the school. We knew we would need money in the years ahead so we started with a Roller Skating Party. Although we lost a few class members that year we kept on going at full force. In 56' we returned as brave sophomores. In order to make more money, we had another Skating Party and sold school jackets. We lost money on the jackets, and then we had a bake sale to make up for the loss. We ended our year by going to Cowan's Gap on the last day of school. We returned as Juniors and looked forward to receiving our class rings. We chanced off a turkey and a duck for Thanksgiving. During that year, we sold ice cream and refreshments for the Senior Play. In March, we took part in our own play, HEADIN FOR A WEDDIN . The Junior and Senior Banquet was held at the Ranch in Shippensburg. As Seniors of 59', we look forward to the day that we will receive our diplomas. We have our trip to Nevr York and we are all looking forward to it. We sold Stanley Products, Candy, Christmas Cards, and Chances to make money for our Senior trip. Our Senior Play has, also, helped us to receive money. PREVIOUS LORD TAKE MY HAND Precious Lord take my hand led me on, let me stand T am tired, I am weak, I am worn Through the storm, through the night led me on to the light Take my hand, Precious Lord Lead me home. When my way grows drear Precious Lord linger near When my life is almost gone Hear my cry, hear my call, hold hand lest I fall Take my hand Precious Lord Lead me home. Senior f roph opnecij Buenos Aires May 29, 19 9 Dearest Friends, On March 27, 1978, we left the Buenos Aires Friendship Airport for a trip around the world. As we boarded our plane, we found Yvonne Graeber as head stewardess of the plane. Reuben Ramsey and Dale Keebaugh were on the plane. We found out that they were in the Marines and were returning home after a six months stay in South America. Our plane stopped in Nicaragua to pick up more passengers. Among these were Marietta Covert and her husband. She told us that Joanne Appleby and Martha Johnson were working in the biggest restaurant in Central America as cooks. Leaving Nicaragua, we flew to Canada where we saw Allan Huston who was serving an enlistment in the Navy. Peggy Sheeder, Rosemary Moseby, and Dorothy Knepper were test pilots for the new Canadian Jet 6 . He also informed us that Bernard Shadle was preparing to go to the moon in his own hand-made space ship. From Canada we flew to Paris, France. We found Phyllis Hersheyand Beverly Cook as fashion designers for Moon Creations, Inc. Ethel Long, the quiet seamstress, modeled the clothes that Phyllis and Beverly design- ed. They told us that Twila Miller, the old Clear Ridge flash, was now the wife of a millionaire. From France we went to Germany. In Germany we saw Charles King, the speed King of the International Race Meet. Donald Long and Harry Hawkins were his mechanics. We read in an Italian newspaper that June Berkstresser was to appear in Naples, Italy, in an MGM production of The Singing Canary, so we made Naples our next stop. In Naples, Dolores Horne, who is now going to a med- ical school in Italy, told us that her good friend, Dorothy Brown, was taking a tour of the Orient. Leaving Italy our next stop was Cairo, Egypt. In Cairo we found Harper Cline and Larry Houck working on a large construction project, a large irrigation dam. Leaving Egypt we stopped in Johannesburg, Africa where we found Clair Helman as office executive of the Kimberly Gold Mines. From Johannesburg we took an Ocean liner, Queen Seaborn , to India where we found Wilkie Mellott as a successful farmer. From India we took a train to Peiping, China where we were informed that Ruth Taylor was working for the Red Cross. Ruth told us that Rae was entertaining the service boys with her singing talent. From Peiping we went to Japan where we found Linda Fraker as Super- intendent of Nurses for the U.S. Navy. Linda told us that Cathy Cromer had been working for Admiral Moonbeam as Private Secretary. We also learned that Rex and his wife are honeymooning in Asia. From Japan we boarded a plane for the United States. We saw Martha Okeson in California. The Kimbell and Swank Company had given her a three weeks' vacation. She told us that Rodney Knepper and Lesta: Newman were Industrial Art Teachers at the University of California. From California, we took a train to Chicago, 111. In Chicago we saw Jim Sheffield driving a Pontiac of his own styling. As our six months cruise was about to end, we decided to go to Texas. In Texas we saw LaRhue Hann, a telephone operator, for the Bell Telephone Company. As we end our trip, we will go back to our jobs as court reporter, and Gary as public accountant. We hope to make another trip in the near future. It was fun meet- ing our classmates again.
