HULL II!-ILL SENIOR CLASS OF 1953 On the evening of May 19, 1953, the Forbes Senior Class answered its last roll call in one of America's greatest institutions--its free public schools. In silent and stately dignity each senior accepted the cherished symbol of accomplishment-the diploma. This proud moment represented more than recognition of scholastic achievement. It represented the fulfillment of their parents' fondest hopes and dreams. To the seniors graduation proclaimed the successful climax of one phase and the exciting beginning of a new phase in life's adventure. For democracy it was a great victory. In the years that lie ahead the knowledge and wisdom the Seniors of 1953 have acquired will help in many ways to shape their lives and America's destiny.
