The highlight of the night came at halftime, when the Homecoming court - Lena Alvary and Richard Herrera, Julie Coving- tonand Richard Ramirez, Evon Taylor and Archie Wright, Pam Jacobson and Derek Webster - made their way around Trojan Field in brand new, open- to A ed Volkswa ienCabriolets . DP Q - T D A A The theme of the night was A New Beginning. Club floats represented everything from the birth of a baby dinosaur, destined to grow like our Trojan spirit, to the 200-yeartcelebration of the U.S. Constitution. The cheerleaders' float featured a younger generation dressed in Football colors, to represent a new begin- ning .. . f almost a Trojan. , ' T Halftime ended with the Homecoming Courttak- ing the field, and Archie Wrightand Julie Covington cmwnedsass the 1987 HomecomingyKing and Queen. Hallo Ween Costumeo' the Foothill Campus. Although Halloween fell on a Saturday, many FHS student celebrated by wearing their costumes on cam- pus Friday. Students dressed up, from outrageous 1960's hip- pies like seniors Jeremy Berlingeri and Bobby VanBoen- ing, to the Queen of Hearts, sophomore Nicole Franklin. The Foothill staff also participated in the dress up. Among many costumed staff, Campus Supervisor Dora Olgin was disguised as a Halloween witch and Special Education teacher Marty Lakin came dressed as a hay- seed. Dressing up was the best part of Halloween, and l enjoyed the free day at school because we didn't have to do much of anything, said junior Shannon Rogers. xi The unidentified Big Mac Tonight man roamed FHS campus. Nicole Franklin made a great Queen of Hearts 82 Halloween Gloria Morales and Becky Aguirre surround Leonard Hobledo in his Sierra Junior High cheerleading uniform.
